Using less than $10, some received items from Megan's friend Whitney in Germany, and Megan’s artistic creativity, we have decorated our apartment for Christmas! While we actually put up the decorations on Dec 2nd, we were still decorating earlier than most Kenyans by about three weeks.
So although temperatures remain in the 80s everyday and you can’t drive through local neighborhoods to view icicle lights and inflatable snowmen, it is refreshing not to be bombarded with consumerism this Christmas season.
We hope everyone at home is enjoying the holiday season and while we miss snow, we certainly don’t envy scraping windshields or shoveling driveways. Pot holes . . . well they are here year round, so we at least can still maintain one commonality.
