Disabilities Program Field Visits

This month, we've been able to join the DCM disabilities program team for some more in-depth field visits and meetings. Here are some pictures from our visits to a disabled self-help group meeting, home visits to project participants who sell their handiwork items in the DCM store, and a craft fair selling handiwork in Kisumu. It was inspiring and touching to see the perseverance and will to become self-sufficient that each of these disabled persons possessed. While they have learned to cope with their challenges, each is still faced with constant economic strain and daily obstacles to achieving their goals of self-sufficiency. DCM's program works to provide them with support, both physically, emotionally, monetarily and spiritually, but there is always more that can be done. Please keep these people in your prayers!
