With our return flight to the USA quickly approaching our last few days in Kenya passed quickly and busily. After wrapping up our responsibilities in our home and in our workplaces, we were honored to join our Kenyan co-workers for a celebration of thanksgiving for the work we had all accomplished together.
At school, Tim's students performed songs, poems, skits, and speeches thanking him for his service and appreciating the patience and compassion he showed them through his teaching. DCM employees cooked Megan a celebratory feast of Kenyan foods and each one also gave a short speech about the past years blessings and accomplishments.
Our time in Kenya was a wonderful experience and we met many fantastic people. As we boarded the plane in Kisumu, our hearts were filled with mixed emotions. We were also excited to reunite with our friends and family in America.
