Kibera

The Kibera slums of Nairobi are among the largest in Africa, and provide affordable housing to many Kenyans looking for work within the capital city. With so many people choosing to live in a congested and under-developed community, access to quality care can be limited. The ELCK deaconesses in this area serve the people of Kibera by making visits to administer home-based care and share the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We were able to journey through the maze of iron sheet structures with these deaconesses and with Dr. Just and Pamela to visit some of these homes.
