Last week with visiting professors from Wisconsin Lutheran College, we made a trip to Oyugis to see the work being done at Nymbi Primary School. The school is a true leader in the integration of children with disabilities into classrooms with other learners, a very uncommon move here in Kenya. DCM has helped support the school by paying the salary of 2 special education teachers's assistants, building a new special unit for children with disabilities prior to their integration, providing supplies, other building renovations, and sponsoring some children to go on to secondary school. WLC is interested in future collaboration at this school and others DCM helps to support by sending education students to assist and learn. Below are some pictures from the visit.
