Cramming In

Personal space. It's a concept that doesn't really exist in Kenya, but one Americans (we) can go crazy without.  Whether it's being crammed in a 10-passenger van with 24 other passengers, getting crowded out at the communion rail, breathed on by the person behind you in line at the grocery store, or walking by the road and the passing motorbike misses you by about 2 inches of space, we have recently been reminded our appreciation for wide open spaces.

Here's some pictures to highlight the scene:

Tim crammed in a tuk-tuk with friends Mark and Tom, while
Megan was crammed up front with the driver

5 Students stuffed in a desk that would hold 2 US students

A typical sight of a matatu (public transport van) with so many
people inside 2 people have to ride outside
